    Review for Witch Fire

Reviewer Comments: Enter a magical new world created by Anya Bast; sure to be a fan favorite in the paranormal genre with her Elemental Witches series. Her writing is lyrical, the love scenes explosive, and her characters full bodied and fascinating.

Waitress, Mira Hoskins, goes through her humdrum life working at Mike’s Diner, little knowing she is actually a witch. All of her preconceived notions are about to be blown to bits by the gorgeous guy reading a newspaper in the diner.

Jack McAllister is on a mission for the Coven; a governing authority of witches. They have sent Jack to protect Mira from a rogue group of warlocks who are capturing witches and draining their powers. Jack would like to assuage his guilt at seeing Mira’s parents killed by protecting her from harm and letting loose all of the magick she possesses. He cannot let her discover how much he wants her; she is his boss’s cousin, therefore off-limits. Not to mention that he is the biological son of the villain who is after her.

Fast paced, edgy suspense is at the forefront of WITCH FIRE. Mira is a strong, self-reliant heroine whose personal baggage is realistic and believable. Her attraction to Jack is red hot, with the sexual energy generated around the pair lighting up the pages. Jack is a tortured hero whose past has made him choose to be all that is good and righteous. His attraction to Mira is heartfelt and emotional; particularly with the conflict that wages within him as the biological son of Cane. The paranormal elements are fresh and original, as air and fire collide and feed from each other. This reader was immediately drawn into the story from the opening abduction, and obsessively read straight through to the dramatic final altercation. Bravo, Ms. Bast; WITCH FIRE is sure to be a fan favorite.
